  Beau 1464
Beau 1464 Beau is a stunning full Collie.  He is tall, but a bit skinny for his size.  He would rather you be with him each time he eats.  He gets easily distracted.  He also dribbles when drinking, so his new home can't be fussy. His loving foster home just puts down towels int he vicinity of the water bowl. Problem solved. Beau loves attention and long walks.  He plays well with other dogs, as long as they are Shelties or Collies.  He barks a lot at all other dogs, delivery trucks and strangers.  He will come when called.   Background:  When Beau came in to rescue he was "head shy."  He has gained much confidence and is a very happy boy.  He gets a bit upset when there is too much playing and may nip, as all herding dogs may do.  Beau would prefer a home with no young children or crazy activity in the household. He will play with other dogs. All in all, he is not as cranky as compared to other old dogs. Beau is up ...read more about Beau 1464
  Cracker Jack 1473
Cracker Jack (we call him Jackie Jack) and his friends were surrendered by an owner who didn't have time for all the dogs they were breeding.  He is very shy especially with strangers.  He has ZERO recall, so we keep him on leash in the yard. He has gotten to where he loves walks and following his foster parents in the yard.  There are signs of his previous life where he wasn't properly trained or simply ignored.  He has strong verbal reactions to many common everyday items (sweeping, squirt bottles, aluminum foil) and occurrences (people walking by, loud trucks.).  His foster parents are working on desensitizing that.  But if you want a mostly quiet, affectionate (on his terms) handsome boy, he will make a good pet. He is highly food motivated. Height 16 inches, Weight 25 pounds, DOB 07/21/16 Cracker Jack has been neutered. He is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $400. I...read more about Cracker Jack 1473
  Polo 1484
I'm Polo and I'm a puppy. I like to get in to things and chew cords if not watched. Typical puppy stuff. I'm food motivated and have a very sweet disposition. I learned the food puzzle in 2 tries, now I'm trying a hard one. You have to watch me in the yard, too, because I kinda like to dig and eat stuff.  I know "eh-eh" as a command for no.  Other commands I know are: here, sit, com, down, and many many more! I'm crate trained and go potty outside, but I may have an accident until I know your routine, and you know my "tell." I get car sick, but foster mom is working on that with short fun car rides with my favorite Nylabone. I like toys and playing with other dogs. Remember, I'm still growing. I'll probably weigh 28 pounds. Come see me before my foster mom adopts me. LOL! Height __ inches, Weight 16.6 (still growing) pounds, DOB 6/3/23 Polo has been neutered. He is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea ...read more about Polo 1484

Sheltie Rescue of Ga., Inc. is a non-profit organization, composed solely of volunteers, dedicated to saving Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties) who have been surrendered by their owners, neglected, abused, or are strays. Established in 1994, SRGA is the oldest and most respected organization of its kind in Georgia. We have placed more than 1500 dogs into permanent homes.

All "Rescued" Shelties are immediately taken to a veterinarian to be treated for any obvious medical condition, tested for heartworms and intestinal parasites, brought current on all shots (including rabies), started on heartworm and flea preventative, spayed or neutered and placed in a loving Foster Home until a suitable permanent home can be found. "Rescued" Shelties come in all ages, colors, sizes and personalities. Rarely do we have puppies under the age of (one) 1 year old.
