Update 4/8/25. Still available. He really needs a home with a very understanding family. He will never be a well socialized dog. He has an agreement with his foster home and has a good quality of life, but the fear is still there a year later. Loves walks, loves treats. But he's like the leading lady in the movie 50 First Dates. Update 12/19/24. Jackie Jack loves to play with his dog friends, but is leary of people. If you sit on the ground, he will come to you for pets. When you stand, he freaks out and runs away. Delete the ZERO recall from the previous entry. He now will come when you say "HERE!" (but you better have a treat to reinforce this good behavior!) Cracker Jack (we call him Jackie Jack) and his friends were surrendered by an owner who didn't have time for all the dogs they were breeding. He is very shy especially with strangers. Update 3/29/25. Adoption pending. No longer available Update 2/11/25 Pinky is cured!! Pinky is an active sweet boy who loves the outdoors. He has spent the last year being calm through his heart worm treatment. He walks well on leash, and rides well in the car. He knows a few commands and is very smart. He loves to be pet and sit with you. He has not been cat or kid tested. Height __ inches, Weight 32 pounds, DOB 09/23/22 Pinky has been neutered. He is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. Bella 1493
4/21/25 Bella is healthy and available for adoption! Bella came to us with a UTI and bladder stones. Antibiotics cured the UTI. Special food cleared up most of the stones in 2 weeks, and the last one was gone at week 4. The vet said keep her on the special food for 6 months, just to be sure. She also came in overweight and has lost 6 pounds already Bella is young and playful. She will herd you and nip at your ankle. We are trying to correct this by distracting her and throwing a toy. She has shown interest in squirrels and birds, but her favorite is chasing her shadow up and down the fence. She will come when called and is very food motivated. At some point in her life she was spoiled because she likes to sleep on her foster parents' bed at night. She likes to bark. Some triggers are running the kitchen sink water, but not the bathroom sink water or a shower. She walks well on leash and rides well in a car. Shes a really fun girl. 4/28/25 Sunshine is an adorable six-year-old, female, pure bred Sheltie. She is being rehomed because her very elderly owner is not able to care for her anymore. She is a very well-behaved and can be playful with trusted people. She is fairly calm, enjoys affection, is a bit overweight, and walks well on a leash. Sunshine hasn't had a lot of experience with stairs and is still building confidence. She's hesitant but will eventually tackle them. She has coexisted well with other dogs but has not been with cats or other animals nor with children. She has no medical issues though she can get carsick. She can be skittish with unknown people and would do well in a home that is a more predictable environment or with a family willing to be patient as she adapts.
