Daisy is a beautiful 2 year old blue merle sheltie with two blue eyes. She is 16" tall, weighs around 38 lbs. and has a beautiful, full coat. Daisy has epilepsy that is well-controlled with twice-daily medication that costs around $60 per month. Her new people should committed to keeping up with her medication schedule (every 12 hours). Even on medication, it's possible that she could have seizures at some point in the future, and her new home should know it is a possibility.  She is house trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a doggie door. She is leash trained and has been on walks, but does not want to be pet by strangers. The main concern in public is her fear and that she is a high flight risk, so a Martingale and proper leash are a must. (No flex-leads!) Daisy enjoys playing with her toys, chasing the ball, and lounging around in the coolest spot she can find. She enjoys other dogs, however she can be "bossy" and definitely wants to be top dog. So, if there are other dogs in the household, they should not be dominant or have to be "top dog." Daisy takes a while to warm up to new people and is definitely a home body and doesn't want to go a lot of places, including on walks. She does not want to meet a lot of strangers and, in public, you may need to "shoo" people away. The perfect home for her has no children under 13, with a securely fenced yard. (NOT an electric fence.) She will likely take while to adjust to her new home, so her new family must be very patient during this time and know that she isn't going to come right in and be settled immediately. Once she settles in, she will be a faithful and loving companion. She has never met a cat, and therefore I don't know how she will react. She is good with being bathed, brushed, having her nails trimmed, etc. She is up to date on shots, heartworm medication, and is spayed.

Height 16 inches, Weight 38 pounds, DOB June 24, 2015

Daisy has been spayed. She is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. Her adoption fee is $425.
