Samson is about 1 year old and is a very sweet and loving dog. When he came to us, he was working on house training and manners, but he is now about 98% house-broken, and is learning manners rapidly. He responds well to a clicker, but since he loves attention, any positive reinforcement will do. He does very well with other dogs and children over 8 years old. He seems OK with younger children, but he may knock them down when he's excited. He is 18.5 inches and a slender 40 lbs. He was found in downtown Nashville and had a spray of buckshot in his abdomen and "private parts." He shows no emotional anguish from this experience, though, and didn't even worry during the 4th of July fireworks. He is a sweet boy who loves everyone. When the doorbell rings, he charges to the door, tail wagging, to see who is coming to visit. He loves attention of all kinds, especially belly rubs, but he's also content to lay by your feet, chewing a bone. His favorite game is to chase the tennis ball with his paws, and he loves to run with his foster brother too. The only time he's sad is when he's not with people, and he will escape if left alone. He will make a really nice family companion.
