Jake was found stray with an awful case of hookworms. He had to have his tail amputated due to a severe injury and infection. The vet was able to neuter him while he was under the anesthesia but he will still need a dental after he recovers from heartworm treatment. Jake is a fantastically sweet snuggle bunny who is at least 10 years old and possibly older. The effect of poor nutrition and hookworms have severely damaged his coat. However a full blood panel shows that his internal organs are functioning well within the normal range. Jake is looking for a very special person or family who want his constant attention. He was heartbroken to have to sit in the crate away from people while recovering from his first heartworm treatment. He is available for a permanent foster home or adoption.
