Count Bob (named for a lego character) was pulled from a local Animal Control by one of our volunteers and went directly to the veterinarian where we discovered he had parvo. He was sucessfully treated and is now recovered from his illness. He is heartworm and fecal negative, neutered, up on all shots (and will be microchipped once we get the microchip stuff to his foster home) Count Bob is a wonderful and smart little guy. He loves toys, especially squeaky ones, and is happy to play and play. He has learned to sit and is now perfecting his down. He is crate trained and has learned to use the doggie door at his foster home to go outside to potty. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs especially if they want to play, too! He is a well socialized puppy and is comfortable around people, noises and new places. Like all puppies, he likes to be busy and his foster mom thinks he has great potential for activities such as agility or obedience. (He'd probably do better in a house with older kids who can play with him and withstand his unintentional puppy biting, even though we've been working on that as well.) He weighs 19 lbs at 6 months. Count Bob's adoption fee is $150. To start the adoption process visit www.sheltierescue-ga.org and fill out the online adoption application.
