Trooper came into rescue after being picked up as a stray by Animal Control. Our best guess of his age is that he's at least ten. He seems to have been through a lot in his life, but none of it changed his easy-going disposition. The vet tells us his tail has been missing for a number of years and that he doesn't miss it. He's extremely laid back and takes everything in stride. He came to us with a severely infected ear which will continue to need treatment for a time after going to his new home in addition to truly bad teeth. Both of these indicate some time without significant care. Trooper gets along with the other dogs, and seems to not be bothered by cats. He is crate trained and housebroken. He's neutered, up-to-date on his shots, heartworm, and flea preventative, is heartworm and fecal negative, and microchipped. His adoption fee will be $200. (NJ)
