Ande is working hard to get some weight off of him. He needs to lose about 10 lbs. He gets along fine with other dogs, both male and female, and is friendly with the cats. He appears to be housebroken and already knew how to use a doggie door. He's obviously had some training and is not timid around new people, including men. The original owner reported that he nipped at a stranger who entered the yard. We have seen no signs of agression but he should not be in a home with small kids as he is "mouthy" and rough when he plays. He reacts oddly to thunderstorms. He is not fearful, but races outside barking and stands there getting soaked, barking his head off. If inside a crate when it thunders he will bark at the thunder. Turning a radio on near him seems to solve the problem. He was an angel for gooming and nail-cutting. His adoption fee is $200.
