Java Joe, also known as JJ is a wonderful dog. He was so named because he looks like someone spilled coffed on him. He is a purebred sable double merle sheltie. He is 10 months old and 33 lbs, up to date on shots, heartworm preventative, and will be neutered before placement. JJ came to us from a shelter where he was listed as an Australian Shepherd. We are very grateful to a fellow rescuer, Jennifer Highfield, for recognizing that he is not an aussie but indeed a purebred sheltie. Jennifer called us and he was rescued from death row just in time. Thank You, Jennifer, for saving this precious boy. He owes his life to you. JJ is special...VERY special. JJ is deaf which is common in double merle shelties. He makes up for this one disability by having the sweetest temperament and loving personality. His favorite pasttime is to be near his person and loved on. His new home must have no children under 8 years old, a fenced yard, and preferably experience with a deaf dog.
