Phoebe is a very cute 17 inch, 22 pound, sable and white sheltie mix. She is just about 1 year old. She came to us from a shelter, very scared, thin, and dirty. She has done extremely well in the last 6 weeks. She can use a dog door, is crate trained and housebroken in the bathroom sense. She loves to play with toys. I would not leave her out during the day for long periods of time ? she is still too much the chewing puppy. I do leave her out at night where she seems to follow the lead of the other dogs. She likes all of the dogs she has met here but takes a bit of time to warm up to a brand new one. She loves people and children. I would advise that she always be fed by herself as she is a tad food aggressive, this is more than likely due to the starving condition she was found in. Over the weeks this has become less intense. She still will need some lead work ? she will walk but very slowly with her head down as if she is being punished. She needs someone very consistent and does not take reprimands very well ? she truly acts as if she is heartbroken for about an hour. She continues to get car sick whether I withhold food or not. A crate and a fenced yard is a must for this little one. She has a lot of potential and learns very quickly. Her adoption fee will be $200.00
