Maggie is six and a pure bred sheltie. She has been a house dog for an older woman who was put into assisted living and the family could not find other arrangements. I have been her foster for about a month. She was spayed when she came into rescue, vetted and put on heartworm/flea preventative. They found some kidney stones when they did the surgery and she was treated for that. She seems to have done very nicely.
She is an excellent companion; playful and silly, perfectly house broken, crate trained, leash trained, great in the car. She is enrolled in obedience class and has a basic understanding of come, sit, down, place and wait. She accepts the cats in my house but doesn’t like other dogs. She accepts children who know how to approach a dog and works equally well for me and for my husband. She would be a perfect only dog for the right person.
