Buddy is a sweet, very intelligent and lovable boy. When we first took Buddy into rescue, it was obvious that he had some serious hip issues and there was no question that we were going to help him. Fortunately, Buddy's two hip surgeries to repair what could have been very early injuries, or a birth defect, are now behind him, It certainly was a puzzling and challenging scenario for the surgeon, but he did a great repair job and is quite sure Buddy will have a long, pain-free life. We couldn't be happier for this adorable little guy!! Because he walks so well, now, it is difficult to imagine that he still has to be monitored for "full-boar" running out in the yard, but he must be. He sure is a happy boy out there - all those squirrels and chipmunks to chase off!
Buddy is high-energy when out in the yard, and, while he can be very calm in the house, he can also be a
fierce warrior who will protect you from hairdryers, shredders and other loud noises
. He is reliably housebroken, crate-trained, walks beautifully on-lead and will take care of "business" on-lead, as well. He loves to cuddle, enjoys brushing, and is a great passenger in the car. He is wonderful with other dogs and he is also great with cats.
We want to thank you all for your notes of encouragement and offer a big thank you to those who have donated already!
Donations for his surgery are still needed and will be gladly accepted. We thank you, in advance. Buddy is neutered, up--to-date on all vaccinations, on heartworm and flea preventives, and is micro-chipped. He is 15.25" and 21 lbs. Buddy's adoption fee is $275.00.
