TEMPORARY HOLD - Angel has had some major dental work after we learned her underbite was causing her to suffer some substantial pain as her lower teeth were hitting the top pallet of her mouth. Although she is doing well and has been such a trooper, she has just been put on two more weeks of a higher dose antibotic and may very well may need some more dental work to help her have a pain free life. Please keep this sweet girl in your thoughts and prayers. ****
Angel is a pretty little girl and she has a very calm nature. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but she does get along with all of her foster brothers and sisters. She loves to go for long walks and loves to snuggle with her humans; especially if she is allowed up on the couch to watch TV with them. Angel is definitely not shy about asking for affection, as she will nudge your hand if she is feeling ignored, and she likes to be with her people wherever they go.
Angel has a fairly substantial under-bite that you rarely notice, except when she is lying on her side. It does mean, though, that she can’t control those drops of drool on her bottom lip when she gets excited, anxious, or hot (panting). Her foster mom rarely sees any drool on her or on the floors, but it might be a deal-breaker for a family that has real wood floors in the home that cannot withstand any type of moisture.
Angel is very food motivated, so she will be easy to motivate in any training effort put forth by her new family. However, Angel still needs to lose about five pounds, so her food needs to be measured, and treats need to healthy and kept to a minimum. Angel would thrive in an active family who will enjoy playing with her and/or taking walks to offer her that exercise she needs and loves. Age: 4 Weight: 35 Height: 17.5
Angel has been spayed. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm preventive and has recently been groomed. Her adoption fee is $325.
