Bo is about as cute in personality as he is in looks, but don’t be deceived by those gorgeous blond locks of his. He is a true Sheltie in the smarts and herding departments, but is also a true small dog in the mouthy, barky and growly/talky-under-his breath aspect. In his best interests, we ask that only those individuals who have had experience with Shelties (or other herding breeds) and who are familiar with small-dog personalities submit an adoption application for Bo. (As noted below, we only accept applications from GA residents.) No homes with children under 12-years of age, and no homes that do not have a secure barrier type fenced yard.
Bo does love to snuggle with his people and wants their affection, but he will never be a dog to be put in a purse, pocket or backpack, just because he is small in stature. There really is a big dog in that little body and h e would hate that!! He knows he is a real DOG, not a trinket, and wants to be treated as such. One of our foster homes fondly called him a little “Butter Biscuit”. He is exactly that, and more, once you get to know him.
Bo rides well in a car, walks well on a leash and gets along with other dogs, but he would do very well as the only dog in his new home. We are working on his manners, but think Bo would be a great candidate for obedience training and, then, on to agility training. He would probably be happiest having a "job" to do!

Bo has been neutered, is up-to-date on shots and heartworm prevantive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $325.
