This sweet girl is very demure and lady like in everything she does. She comes across as shy at first, but it is only “Sheltie Shy” if you are familiar at all with Shelties. Believe me she has no problem asking for a pet or a scratch behind the ears…but she does it so softly with those big brown eyes looking at you.. it is hard to ignore.
She was dumped in a shelter with a litter of puppies that were taken away from her way too soon. Her foster home thinks that is why she loves to carry around stuffed toys in her mouth (so darn cute)! She has been groomed and her coat is beginning to grow in nicely.
Ginger likes the company of other dogs and sometimes tries to engage them in play, but most often she just likes to just stay around her people. She is very good on lead and does not pull at all. Her foster home believes she would love nothing more than to take nice walks with her adoptive home if that is what her family does! On the other hand, she is content to just find entertainment with her toys and exploring the back yard.
Sheltie Rescue of GA, Inc. does not have a shelter. Our dogs are safely housed in foster homes all around the state. Please note, Sheltie Rescue of GA, Inc. does not do out-of-state adoptions.
