Taz is a handsome, sweet, lovable, well-mannered senior fellow, who was surrendered to us, due to the inability of his former owners to care for him.  He is nine-years-old and is perfectly housebroken, walks well on-lead and loves to ride in the car.  He is fed in his crate, only because there are several dogs in his foster home and it keeps chaos from erupting. However, he is great in the house and does not need to be crated, even at night. Taz is a healthy boy, whose only issue is being overweight, but he is on a diet and has already lost eight pounds of his original 40.  His goal weight is around 26-27 lbs.  He is definitely getting to it quite nicely.

Taz really has no bad habits, but he is sensitive to certain sounds, like the coffee grinder, the paper shredder and the disposal.  Well, he IS a Sheltie, after all!  Taz is great with the other dogs in his foster home and he is excellent with the two cats, as well.  He still has plenty of energy for an older pup, loves to run after the squirrels in the backyard and enjoys playing fetch when soft squeaky toys are thrown for him.  He loves being with his people and has a very soft mouth when taking his treats.  He loves a variety of fruits and vegetables, which is a serious plus.  Taz is a winner!

Taz has been neutered. He is up-to-date on shots and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $200.
