***** ADOPTED - NO LONGER AVAILABLE *********

*FENCE REQUIRED*

Rupert is a very young boy who is crate-trained, housebroken and used to a dog-door.  He insists on attention, is very intense and needs lots of exercise.  He is quite the athlete and adores children.  He can be food aggressive, so it is best that he be fed in his crate.  He is absolutely just the perfect Sheltie.

Rupert needs to be in a secure environment with other well-socialized dogs.  I am recommending this because just general interaction with humans would never be enough exercise for him unless we are talking roadwork, trails or a treadmill.  An obedience class would do wonders for this boy.  He is already a good dog but he could be GREAT.  He really needs a job and would do well in agility, frisbee, flyball, herding, etc.  Rupert’s new people will need some patience when exposing him to new things and situations.  He can be very stubborn!!!  No crawling children; they must be at least 6 years of age.  Cats are OK!

Rupert loves to go in the car.  He is nothing but muscle and could actually afford to gain a pound or two.

Height 19.5 inches, Weight 32 pounds, DOB approx 5/1/12

Rupert has been neutered. He is up-to-date on shots and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $375.
