Chesterfield is a very young 10 years old.  He is a sweet, cute little man, who is also diabetic.  Being diabetic, Chesterfield must be fed and given insulin twice a day.  He is the first diabetic dog this foster mom has ever had and, truthfully, it’s not that complicated.  Please don’t let that put you off adopting this boy.  He is a lot of dog in a small package! Chester gets a little barky when crated.   He will tolerate crating in the car, although he would much rather be in the front seat looking around.  He is housebroken, but must be taken out every 6 hours or so.  His foster mom has not been successful in teaching him the dog-door, which would alleviate the 6 hour potty break, but she is still trying.  It will probably be best if his new owner works from home, or has a dog-walker come in daily.Chester is great with other animals that will play with him, any size.  He could be an only dog, or added to a small family of others.  He loves female dogs, as he thinks he is quite the catch.  We believe he would be good with older, more careful children.  He is good on a lead and should be walked 2 or 3 times a week.  Daily would be great!!

Chesterfield has been neutered. He is up-to-date on shots and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $275.00.
