Blue is a young Sheltie, who w ill be two in May, 2015.   His foster mom is working on getting a few more pounds on him, as he is pretty slender right now.  Blue lived most of his young life in a backyard and is fearful of many household sights and sounds, which should, hopefully, get better over time. Although very shy at first, Blue warmed up to his foster family, including the children, rather quickly and adored the dogs in the home right from the start. This young man will need a patient, Sheltie-savvy owner who will be sensitive to and understanding of his fears.  A fenced-in yard of a barrier-type material is a must because Blue is still learning to walk on a leash and will be a flight risk for some time to come. Blue will be happiest living with another playful dog that he can follow to learn the ropes.  He looks to other dogs for confidence and direction, so another dog in the family is a must. Blue is sweet, gentle and quiet. He doesn't look like a typical Sheltie, but he is handsome and very smart. He has a gorgeous medium length gray, black and white coat. His foster mom is very happy to say that Blue has not had any accidents in his foster home.

Blue has been neutered. He is up-to-date on shots and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $325.
