Fenced Yard and Another Playful Dog In Home Required.  Charlie came to us from unfortunate circumstances.  His former owner was very sick and unable to care for him in any fashion.  When we took Charlie in, he was in pretty bad shape, with his coat needing to be shaved, needing a dental (16 extractions) and experiencing a systemic infection.  Well, skipping forward, this handsome nine-year-old boy is now a very happy camper.  His energy level and attitude belie his date-of-birth. Nobody who has met him can believe he is nine.  Even his foster parents can't get over the way he flies around the yard and plays with Rocky, (Also available for adoption), or with the other young dog in the home.  Charlie is a good eater and even loves gnawing on retriever sticks.  Amazing!!  Charlie is house-trained, crate-trained and does very well on the leash.  In spite of that, a fenced yard is required, as well as another dog for him to play with.  When Charlie's coat grows back in about six-months, he is going to be a stunning dog.  He is very loving and lovable...if one is interested in a healthy, happy velcro-dog, Charlie is your man.

 

Just as a thought, we are throwing out there: believe it or not, Charlie and Rocky have bonded and they play like crazy, when given the opportunity.  If one were to consider adopting the pair, their adoption fees could be reconsidered.

 

Charlie is neutered, current on all vaccinations, heartworm and flea prevention. He has recently had a dental and is microchipped.  His adoption fee is $325.
