Max is a delightful, senior tri-boy, with beautifully-tipped ears and you would never know he is 14. Max is deaf and probably a tad visually impaired, due to his age, but he is very playful when engaged by the other dogs in the house. Because of his deafness, Max must never be allowed off-lead when outside his home and/or fenced yard. Max is on a liver support supplement, although he does not have liver disease. He is in great shape, otherwise, and that tail never stops wagging! Max was surrendered to a metro-Atlanta area shelter by his owner and, amazingly, he was not fearful of being at the shelter. He did, however, have Stage 4 dental disease and a little growth on his eyelid. He has had a dental, is doing much better and you can't even tell there was anything on his eyelid, the vet did that great a job of removing it.
Max adapted beautifully to his foster home and it was almost immediate. He is one sweet and happy boy, as well as mild-mannered and affectionate. He doesn't try to get up on the furniture, but he will come over to his foster mom and lean his head against her knee, asking for attention and affection. He is great with the dogs AND the cats in his foster home, so he would do well in another multiple-pet home, but would also do great as the one-and-only, getting all the attention he deserves.
Max is crate-trained, house-trained and rides very well in the car. He walks very well on-lead. Max enjoys having the yard to wander about in, to take care of of business and explore, but enjoys being with his humans, so he comes back to the door pretty quickly. He "woofs" to come in and can be insistent if his foster mom and dad don't hop to it. This older gentleman is a very easy dog to have around!

Max has been neutered. He is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $200.
